Once I found a tattie seed, I put it in the ground

And when I went to look at it, a tiny shoot I found

The shoot it grew and soon there were lots of leaves to see

And then I dug ma tatties up and had them for my tea

 4. Tattie scones (potato scones)

If you have one or two tatties left over from dinner, why not make tattie scones the next day? If you leftover mashed tatties, just add the flour and salt.

Just up the quantities if you have more than the recipe J

Ingredients

2 leftover tatties (about 4oz/113.4g)

A little butter and milk

A little salt

1oz/28.3g of Self raising flour

Method

1 Mash up the tatties and butter and milk (as if you were going to have mashed tattie)

2 Add the salt and flour

3 On a floured board, make into a ball and flatten into a circle. Cut into 6 portions

4 Heat up frying pan and add oil/butter until sizzling

5 Add the slices of scone and till golden brown then turn.

Enjoy

Eat hot with your favourite spread!
